In March of 2018 we launched Seminario Bíblico Reformado in Arequipa, Peru.  As the vision for the seminary unfolded, we partnered with Third Millennium Ministries and decided to adopt and adapt their curriculum which is taught by leading theologians and pastors of their respective areas of study.

 

As rich as this curriculum is, the bridge between this solid biblical theology and local application and contextualization was missing.  Understandably, you cannot expect a global curriculum to be contextualized for every tribe, tongue and language.

 

This is where the Third Millennium Application Guides came into great use.  The Application Guides provide a launching point from which a local pastor or teacher can apply and contextualize the curriculum to their specific ministry context using reviews of the lesson, thought provoking questions, and real-life case studies.

 

As I prepare to teach a Third Millennium class, I use the curriculum itself, the forum videos and the Application Guides.  These three resources allow me to triangulate the material to focus on the hearts and minds of each student.

 

Personally, I have been greatly blessed by these application guides, and I commend Gary Waldecker as he leads in the development of these vital resources for all of the Third Millennium courses.
